I have posted elsewhere but I thought it prudent to start a new thread with the board name in the title bar.
I have an old Jumptec 07008-0000 with a 486 AMD processor and its bios clock chip needed to be replaced recently. consequently the date time etc is all fresh and needs to be defaulted at least to allow access to the system on board.
The problem is the bios is OEM password protected and nothing works. I have even read the bios flash IC in a hex reader to see if there was anything standing out, 4 hours later and still non the wiser.
The bios version is PISBR214 manufacture date is 1998. and it is from a Kraus Maffei injection molding machine, Kraus state that this password is not of their doing and it is an aspect of the jumptec manufacturing process.
I have discovered that there was a piece of software called JRC.exe that works across another PC into a bios extension via a serial port but no one seems to have the software unfortunately either.
Can anyone help please, got the bit between my teeth on this now
thanks in advance for any help..
