    Re: Lenovo ThinkCentre M920q 10RRS1J80H Bios Password

    Hi, have you tried to reset CMOS? On page 36 (pp.40) it says: If the coin-cell battery fails, the date, time, and configuration information (including
    passwords) are lost
    , so I guess that by disconnecting it, it will clear CMOS and passwords. There is at least a post for another ThinkCentre model on this forum and that's the procedure they describe.

    If clearing CMOS does not work, then first of all make sure you have a good BIOS backup before programming this patched file.
    I was trying to understand the code in order to recover or generate a matching password, as the password seems to be hashed into AMITSESetup uefi variable.

      Thank you very much for your answer. I tried resetting the CMOS twice. Time is lost, password remains. I will try your BIOS.

            @redcayote
            "AMITSESetup" variables containing password were invalidated.
            Just the chip W25Q128 needs to be updated with this new file.

                I need help with the same problem. The ebay seller I bought the m920q from doesn't appear to know the password, and while it's been reimaged with a fresh windows install I want to put proxmox on it and I cannot disable secure boot.

                I can boot to windows, though, how do I dump the bios file for tweaking?

                Or will any bios for a m920q work?

                  Hello,

                  Just got the same with 910q and to make it work you have to update your bios first then the jumper method is working fine
