Re: [Request] Asus A320M-k updated BIOS Dump

According to Asus CPU support for this board, a Ryzen 5 4600G is supported or validated since BIOS Ver. 5862 so I downloaded latest version 6402…

I connected my CH341A (Green) programmer with 1.8V adapter to the board.

    I identified pins as follows…

Then I fired up NeoProgrammer V2.2.0.10, identified chip as Gigadevice GD25LQ128C [1.8V] and read data successfully and saved backup…

OK so then I opened the updated BIOS CAP with UEFITool NE Alpha 59 , then - right-click onto the listed “AMI Aptio capsule”, choose the option “Extract body…” and save it as *.ROM file. (File size 16,384 KB)

I then erased and verified blank chip with NeoProgrammer successfuly, then opened new *.ROM file and flashed, Successfully… I removed programmer cables, installed CPU and powered up…
It didn´t POST, boot or display anything (Fans running)

I also have tried with no luck, manually editing *.CAP file with HxD and removing first 2048 bytes and saving as *.ROM, I also tried Asus CAP to Bin Tool to create *.ROM file, I tried flashing with CH341 programmer original soft, with AsProgrammer I even flashed with Flashrom for windows, in all cases no errors where displayed… yet Mother Board refuses to POST…

SOOO! What am I doing wrong!
what is the proper way to do it…
Any help would be greatly appreciated…

P.S please excuse my English, it is not my native tongue…

[Request] Asus A320M-k updated BIOS Dump

Hello, anyone have BIOS Dump (ROM/BIN) for Asus A320M-K, dump has to be version 5862 or higher, so I can use with Ryzen 5 4600G CPU.

I do not have a spare older generation compatible CPU to boot and update via Bios EZFlash Utiliy...

Also I will be flashing via CH341A programmer with either (AsProgrammer, NeoProgrammer, Flashrom)

I´ve tried the usual extraction of file with UEFITool --->
Open the *.CAP file, do a right-click onto the listed "AMI Aptio capsule", choose the option "Extract body..." and save it as *.ROM file. from latest BIOS *.CAP file and later flashed with no luck... board will not POST anything

NT955XED (Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro - 15.6) BIOS dump file Request
    by Citymin
    Hi all,

My Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 15.6-inch laptop has no display and won't boot.
The charging red LED lights up, but the charging screen doesn't show any indication.
When I press the power button, the blue LED cycles on and off three times, then the screen doesn't turn on, and the device won't boot.
(I've tried removing the battery and resetting the device, but the issue persists.)

BIOS file for ASUS F542UN laptop
    by Sebastian Codrean
Hello to all of you! I need help with a BIOS file.
The BIOS chip is fried on my Asus F542UN laptop, and I bought a new chip that needs programming. I have a CH341a programmer but I need a .bin BIOS file. On Asus support page the firmware has another extension, .310 and from reading on this forum I understand that that file is not complete BIOS.
So, in short I need the "complete" BIOS .bin file to flash on the new chip. Another issue is that on back of the case the label says F542UN but on the sticker on the motherboard it's X542UN.

Need real mobo dump of BIOS v402 for ASUS PRIME Z590-A - stock image no help
    by DynaxSC
    Hi,

I have a serious problem to program the Z590 chipset SRAM with a Management Engine after replacing the chipset.
The new chipset is factory new and is not containing any Management Engine. Any attempts to program it into the chipset under Windows ends with a failure (eg. Error 20: Management Engine Device not present, or something similar).
Due to the lack of the ME several ports on the board, including all M.2 ports aren't working, booting OS works only on USB. So it's now other way, as to program the chipset with a ME.

Usually on ASUS boards it worked...

    ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
    by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
    Some issues
    A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

    Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...
