    🚨 Need Help Reviving an Acer X4690G After Failed BIOS Update

    Hey guys,

    I tried updating the BIOS on my Acer X4690G, but the power got interrupted mid-update, and now the BIOS is corrupted. The system won’t boot properly anymore.

    Has anyone dealt with this kind of failed flash before? Any tips on how I can recover or fix the BIOS?

    I already searched everywhere for a BIOS dump specific to the X4690G, but I couldn’t find any. If anyone has a working dump, a backup, or knows where I can get one, please let me know.

    Here’s a dump of my corrupted BIOS, and I’ve also included the .CAP BIOS file I downloaded from Acer’s support page.

    Any help would mean a lot — thanks in advance! 🙏

          Hi hoaca388, thank you for the reply. I tried reading the BIOS SOIC16 chip multiple times and it always gives the same file size. I think the chip was wiped during the BIOS update, and then the power got interrupted. This is my first job as a computer tech, and I feel like I messed up badly. I don’t even know what to say to the client anymore… it was an honest mistake though.

              Hi all,
              I have a ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th gen that stopped booting after a failed BIOS update. There is no life from the machine when the power button is pressed, but when the charger is plugged in, the amber charging indicator turns on and the power button blinks three times. The battery does charge, eventually turning the amber light white. I've dumped the BIOS and tried to fix it (but I don't know what I'm doing or how to use Lenovo's update files in this way) and even attempted to overwrite it with other uploads I've found here to no avail.               hello dear friends
              I recently bought this motherboard and I'm having a lot of problems.
              - The Wi-Fi doesn't appear in the Network Card in Device Manager (The Wi-Fi card and the Wi-Fi work fine when I installed the old motherboard)
              - The hard drive is missing when i reboot the system and reappears when i reboot again (crtl+alt+del).
              - When I tried to do an internal BIOS update it doesn't work it always fails.

              I have a Lenovo Legion 5 15imh05a device that I bought used online. It came with a 20V 8.5A 170W charger.

              The BIOS version is EFCN58WW.

              When I turn on the device, it displays the message:
              "The Connected AC adapter has a lower wattage than the recommended AC adapter..."

              The device rarely charges the battery, and even when it does, it doesn't show that it's charging.
