Hi friend., working on this motherboard ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX/GEN3 R2.0. It boots up but freezes on the logo screen. I downloaded the CAPs extension file from the ASUS web site for this mmodel. Changed the .CAP to .BIN extension. Tried 3 files but none of them give any display, but the Original atleast gives display in the start & freezes, cannot go to setup or does not boot up. Can anyone please fix the Original BIOS Bin file, thanks in advance.... -

I'm a technician and a computer/retro computer lover.
I just bought a great Sabertooth motherboard (I really love the colours and the ASUS military scheme) to install a nice FX-8320 from AMD and make a gaming computer with a Geforce GTX 970.
For the first time I had problems with the system, but I solved and then correctly booting, I installed Windows 10 and then I started to overclock the system. I reached a stable configuration of 4,8GHZ with 1,475v.
Then I saved fan configuration, and other parameters, and saved to the overclock profile... -

i'm looking for a schematic/boardview for an ASUS E3-PRO V5 (NOT E3 PRO GAMING, has a different layout).
I'm trying to find out where i can find SKTOCC# other than from the socket in order to ground it for a Coffee Lake mod. It must be somewhere near/around the SIO but I haven't found a datasheet for the NCT5539D this board has.
I've also found the schematic for the similarly named E3 PRO GAMING V5 but it has a different SIO so it's not of much help. And I don't trust myself to hold still a multimeter probe on top of a LGA socket pin to find where it comes out the...01-18-2025, 09:17 AM
