How to solve manufacturing mode and service tag problem in Dell 10th & 11th gen pcs?
I have this Dell 5400 all-in-one pc with corrupt bios. I tried bios from another thread and it worked but the problem is that it remains in manufacturing mode and doesn't save the service tag. I tried different options (alt-f, alt-f in bios setup, load defaults, bios update) but none worked. It also shows DELL UNIDENTIFIED SYSTEM in bios setup and a red error during boot. I also tried Dell 7700 all-in-one bios posted by Hoaca388 but same problem. Does anyone know a solution to this problem or if possible fix its original file? A lot of thanks in advance.

It also shows DELL UNIDENTIFIED SYSTEM instead of DELL 5400 in bios setup. Maybe the problem is that I haven't repaired its original bios (i tried but it didn't work). Can you plz share the bios which worked for u or repair/modify the original bios (attached in post#8) of my 5400 aio? Kindly help to solve this problem because its very important.
Edit: now I see you posted your dump, i will try to rebuild it. bios that i modified it will not work on your machine, i have to clean ME.Last edited by volinakis; 08-16-2023, 02:13 PM.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If possible, share the bios which worked for u without clean ME. It may be of some use.
Edit: Did u copy/save the BIOS.BIN file again from 25Q256 ic after adding and saving service tag to it? If yes then please share it. I will try to merge it with other files as it will already has service tag added to it.Last edited by ASB; 08-16-2023, 02:55 PM.
