hi all

can someone please repair this bios for me for dell inspiron 5400 aio, my bios is giving me half fan spin and stop, i tested other bios which work but i can not save the service tag and i have been trying for hours

anyone please can repair my bios, many thanks

Can you use a hex editor,if you can`t its time to start learning. HxD Hex Editor - https://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/ .Copy the DMI area from your bios to the working one. Copying just the service tag doesn`t work it must be the whole dell variable.

Can you use a hex editor,if you can`t its time to start learning. HxD Hex Editor - https://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/ .Copy the DMI area from your bios to the working one. Copying just the service tag doesn`t work it must be the whole dell variable.

Hi, i don't mean to waist anyone`s time, i tried again and again replaced on the working one with my one just as per instrusction which you posted, i have got same issue i get asked to enter service tag every time, even though i save and do everything just like any other dell laptop write service tag, save exit bios laptop restarts on alft+f which i do than bios come up again to enter to save service tag, i have included few pictures after i have presses alft+F, service tag is C971G92

hi, thanks for the file yours din't work straight away but thanks to your file i got someone to clear me the file and is working very good

so if anyone will have this issue i am posting here the file i used and than you can save the serial and it will restart and than do the things also it will ask you to choose 5400 or 5401

Problem solved. I repaired its original corrupt bios with FIT and everything worked perfectly. Thanks to all for ur help.

Device: dell 5400 AIO
Brand: dell
ST: 4HK73S3
board no. IPADL-UMA rev: AAA

main concern is absolute computrace is greyed out.
unable to disable.
there are no " 00 FC AA" available
just a single "00 FD AA" I can see in 16mb

Thank you very much, I had the same problem, with this bios it solved it.
He turned it on, got a corrupted bios error, he restored and restarted himself, asked for the TAG, I gave ESC, he restarted and asked for the model, then it was just for the TAG,
