    Broken R7 260x - Voltages on board

    Hi everyone.

I got a broken MSI R7 260X for $10, seller said there was a surge and afterward graphics and network stopped working.
The power supply goes into protection if inserting the 6pin ATX12V into the graphics card.

So i figured, well, yeah, some mos broke in the VRM, should be easy fix.

Indeed, a Hiside mos was shorted and i replaced it.

The Vcore was generated by 2 switcher groups (hiside + loside MOS and an inductor in each group) powered from 12V PCIE and another 2 from 6pin 12V ATX. The broken mos was on the 12V ATX side.

There's another 2 switchers from 12V PCIE which i guess is Vmem or mem controller.

There's also one switcher from 12V ATX which is either Vmem or mem controller.

The motherboard gives 1 long beep and 12 short ones with this card so there are some more problems.

I measured some voltages on the board and i have ~0.9V for Vcore and the other switcher from PCIE.

The switcher from ATX12V has 1.6V.

These seem a little low but the card is not doing anything so maybe it's in low power.

The fan starts spinning maybe 2s after powerup.

Are there other voltages to be measured ?
Since it doesn't post, maybe it's the bios not initializing.

Any advice is welcomed since graphics cards cost an arm and a leg nowadays.

look for bios voltage on bios chip, look for damage on caps in vga, dvi or hdmi inputs, a surge can go into the card from monitor output

Powersupply has all the voltages - Monitor still no power
      by Capacitorial
      Hello guys,

I have a Philips 240B7QPJEB. The monitor seems completely dead.
I opened it and measured the voltages of the powersupply. I found that a mosfet was dead and replaced it.
On the connector, that goes to the TCON board, all voltages 15-19V and 5V are present.
The small connector on the left of the PSU has two cables with 18V and all the other have 0.2V. It connects on this small connector on the left ontop of the panel. I guess the backlight? Seens fine I guess.
The weird thing is, that the Power LED is powered over the TCON board.
      On The TCON...

Is it possible bridging tiny broken trace
      by chth96
When I assembled dreamcast I mistakenly fastened long bolt and It resulted in
      cutting tiny trace.
This tiny trace(Total width of white coating is 5.5mm) is between R337,R343 and IC101 and it is covered with white coating in the below screenshot.

Firstly I tried to bridging tiny broken trace with my own eyes...But it is totally impossible..So a week ago, I ordered G1200 Digital Microscope and I magnified this tiny broken trace with it.

But It seems that It is really very tiny trace So I plan to order 0.1mm coper wire from aliexpress in order to bridging...

      Help reading schematic voltages input/output
      by gjgib
Hello, this might be embarassing since I consider it a dumb question but keeps me kinda stuck sometimes in my journey.

I want to know if there is any post in this forum which explains my questions. A) When, where and how do I know when X voltage line is input or output. Example:

      I'm battling with this IC to understand it's voltages. It's from non-turning-on Lenovo Ideapad 3 15iil05 - NM-D461.

      I see some lines like +5VL / +5VALW / V9B+ / +3VALW being okay and some others like 1.8VALW / +0.6VS / +2.5V_DDR. I just know that some of them are bad or missing,...

HISENSE LCD LED TV MODEL HX40N2176F LED DRIVER SN51DP IC PINOUT AND VOLTAGES
      by RossMoodley1967
      Hello

Need to know the voltages that will be present on SN51DP ic when tv is in standby and when powered on.

Just to elaborate on the problem with the tv 1.set came in with flash of HISENSE logo on screen then back into standby.2. Now tv when plugged in red standby light present to quickly changes to blue but no backlights.3.Then an hour ago i checked again , came on standby and stayed until i pressed the power button which changed to power on (blue)4.As far as the led driver circuit goes voltage at output in standby was 38v , power on led light up voltages rise 58v-68v...

MSI Z390-A PRO missing VCORE voltages
      by karlp028
I've got an MSI Z390-A Pro motherboard that starts up fine, but it's missing the VCORE (and VGT) voltages. All of the other voltages are present (e.g. VCCSA, VCCIO) and I know the CPU (i7-9700k) is good. Now, the original PWM controller (UP9521P) had an internal short and I replaced it with a new one. All of the enable signals look good. The problem seems to be the PWM signals going to the MOSFET drivers. I checked them with an oscilloscope and they are all flat 1.5V with no pulses. I don't know why this would be and I'm not sure where to look next.
