I need help on this msi board H81M-E34 Usb over current error , check all usb ports no broken traces also removed the usb cable for the front panel but still problem exist, can someone help me on this problem please

USB over current issue is quite easy to resolve, you need a board view to identify the correct resistor to resolve this issueComment

divide the voltage through two resistors

Hello, so I got this ASUS TUF B450M-PLUS-PRO GAMING come in the shop with an issue of USB Overcurrent Issue. I already disconnect the USB connector going to the front USB port, and Check all port in the back and all are working and no short is detected,. Maybe someone can guide me how this USB Overcurrent Works because I got to boards with the same issue -

Could someone disable USB over-current protection in this bios? Message is displayed over display-port: "Over Current Have Been Detected On Your USB Device!! System will shutdown after 15 seconds to protect your mainboard!!"

Diagnosed and come to a conclusion that PCH is faulty, there are overcurrent voltage dividers (net names OC#0 to OC#7) on USB power lines, dividers output is nearly 0V, PCH is pulling some of them down. Dividers resistors values are ok and data lines and VCC are not shorted.

Hello! so i have an Asus X99 S and a X99 Deluxe, both have been working for some time, but after swapping the cooler on the X99 S it started to come up with the USB overcurrent detected. I have tried all the bios versions on the asus site, have looked if anything is shorted and all of the usb ports show almost the same resistance on the pins.
Tried different ram, cpus, psu, also all the pins are nice, and no usb port is bent.
Only way to make it boot 1 time only was flashing a new bios on the chip (ch341a or bios flashback) and then getting into the bios, but only the usb 2 ports would... -
