Changing the processor on the X470 board

    I have the following setup:
    Msi X470 gaming plus, ryzen 3 2200g
    2 x 16 Gb hyper x cl17, radeon rx 570 8Gb
I would like to change the processor to r5 5600 or r5 7600
Which one is best to choose?

You just need to make sure that you have a BIOS version compatible with the new CPU. According the MSI website (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/X470...US/support#cpu) you will need version 7B79vAL or later to be compatible with the 5700X. As such, I suggest you flash the latest available BIOS version before swapping the CPUs. I think that's the only thing, everything else should work just fine.

Your motherboard is AM4, so only the R5 5600 would be compatible. For the R5 7600 you'd need to upgrade to an AM5 motherboard.

Price difference between r5 5600x and r7 5700x is small and I prefer to buy r7.
Regnum RG4T case provides 159mm for CPU cooling.
Which model will be better Noctua NH-U12A, or be quiet! Dark Rock 4 135mm?

Yes, the R7 5700X is probably the better choice. Keep in mind, however, that neither of those has integrated graphics, unlike the 2200G you're replacing, which can be nice for troubleshooting. If that is important to you, you can go with the R7 5700G, but it is a bit slower than the 5700X.

About the cooler, I'm running a Thermalright Peerless Assassin with an R9 5900X and it works very well. It is also considerably cheaper than the ones you suggested but the height might be a bit close (it's listed as 157mm on Amazon). You can check the list of reviewed CPU coolers by Gamers Nexus (https://gamersnexus.net/megacharts/cpu-coolers), which is quite informative and see if there are any options that suit your needs.

Now I have integrated graphics, but I also have a dedicated card that will remain in the set, over time I will change the RAM and GPU.
What problems may occur after changing the processor?
Thank you for the link in your post.
