    KT3 Ultra2-R (ms-6380E)

    Hello all
Would anyone have a list of capacitors for this motherboard KT3 Ultra2-R
(ms-6380E) I would like to order capacitors before taking my computer apart.

    Thanks

Each board is outfitted with different brands caps. Some should be replaced and some should not.

The reason I asked for a list of caps for this board is hoping someone recapped the same motherboard and saved the list of cap ratings.

Anyway my computer became very unstable so I replaced the one bad cap
      1000 uf 6.3v tepo with a 1000uf 10v fr Panasonic
my computer works great till next cap fails

What do you mean by some caps should not be replaced.
      Thanks

Just in case any one in the future need a cap rating list for this board

Can you measure the dimensions of them too? (In mm) Then we can refer you to some replacements from mouser, digikey, etc...

Do you have an extra 2mm width and 4mm height to spare on all the 1000uF 6.3v capacitors? I can only find replacements in 8 or 10 mm width, and in 12.5 or 15 mm height.

Anyways, here is a list, let me know about the 1000µf 6.3v capacitors before you order these:

            1000uf 6.3v 6mm x 11 >>> 1000µf 6.3v 8x15 Nichicon HM
            470uf 6.3 6mm x 11 >>> 470µf 6.3v 6.3x12.7 Panasonic FR
            1000uf 16v 12x20 >>> 1000µf 16v 10x20 Panasonic FM
            470uf 16v 7mm x11 >>> 470µf 16v 8x11.5 Panasonic FR
            100uf 16v 5 mm x11 >>> 100µf 16v 5x11 Panasonic FR

Good list ben, except maybe using HM also for this:
              1000uf 16v 12x20 >>> 1000µf 16v 10x20 Panasonic FM
...which is probably for the VRM high.

              Maybe this is better:
http://www.digikey.com/scripts/DKSea...33766583940898 (Had to use 1500uF because of low stock for 1000uF).

The link is broken, it says "part not found"

I think the FM will be fine, the capacitors on the input of the VRM don't get stressed nearly as much as the VRM output ones. Besides, the FM has an impedance of 19mOhm, and rated ripple current of 2.18 amps.

                    Hey Everyone,

Long time lurker, but I think this is my first time posting.

Just looking for some assistance on identifying some suitable replacement capacitors for an MSI K7T266 Pro (Ver. 1.0). I just got my hands on two of them actually, both working but one has some visibly bulging capacitors and the other has a few that I can't tell for sure if they're bulging because it's faint at best if they are.

I'll be honest I don't fully understand much on capacitor spec sheets beyond voltage and capacitance but I can solder like nobodies business so I've...

                    3COM OfficeConnect Gigabit Switch 16 (3C1671600)

The switch has served me for 10+ years (was new when I bought it). It's a nice switch with connections on the back which makes for quite a clean desk. Reason for taking it apart was that the cooling fan was noisy so I expected it to be dirty/dusty inside and the need to order a new fan. What I found was that it was very dirty/dusty and some electrolytic capacitors which needs attention. There are 3 capacitors which needs to be replaced but the ESR on some of the other ones might be bad as well so I think I'll replace them all. Original...

Samsung UN65JU67ODFXZA Version TD01 Schematic and Parts List
                    by Mark D
The TV is a Samsung UN65JU67ODFXZA Version TD01. I replaced the power source board and the TV is now working, but I decided to try and troubleshoot the old board to fix at the component level. Trying to get a schematic and a parts list has proven to be an issue. Trying on my own, I can't tell you how many times my Norton security has flagged sites as "malicious". I ordered a service manual from ServiceManuals.net, paid $16.99 and got 66 pages of everything BUT schematics and component parts list! Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Some of the surface mounted component parts...

Calculating ESR from tan delta -- tan delta's dependence on capacitance
                    by Junkrepair
I'm finally recapping my Soyo K7VX6 motherboard (aka KT600 Dragon Ultra) and replacing Sacon SZ-series caps. The Sacon SZ datasheet provides a spec for tan delta, but not for ESR, while the candidate replacement caps are specified in terms of ESR.

I found this nice little description of the conversion:

                    Calculating capacitor ESR from Tan(delta)
                    https://forum.digikey.com/t/calculat...-from-tan/2633

It mentions that a general spec for tan delta has to be adjusted for the specific capacitance before plugging tan delta into the formula...

                    List of compatible laptop motherboards
                    by Deby

This is a list of compatible laptop motherboard information that I have been collecting for some time.
                    And it's still ongoing.
Every time I come across information that a board is compatible with another, I write it down.
Anyone who wants to, can continue to expand the list.
Packed in the rar, is an excel table that has additional information.
