question about caps for Asus P4G800-V

Back after a few years... This time I'm looking to replace the caps on this board.

The caps that died (all 7 at once!) are 1800uf 6.3V KZG's. I found these on Ebay:

I'm wondering if they're any good or are there better caps I should look for.

Please update your profile to show country.

Assuming you're in the US, Nichicon HM 1800uF 6.3 8x20mm are a very close match.
Normally, UCC are good with the exception of the KZG and KZJ series. They are a known bad cap (read as replace on sight, no matter physical condition).

Here is a link to Mouser, Digikey also carries them but at a higher price. I usually purchase in lots of 10 and ship via USPS.

You can also buy the HN series (a better-rated cap then the KZG's) direct from this site and help support this site.

When you go to replace these caps, remember Asus reversed the polarity markings on the boards. The shaded or white side is the positive, not negative like all other manufacturers.
Stupidity should be a crime, especially for drivers. I have NO patience for them.

I had to re-re-cap a board a while back because I did not know that Asus did this crap and I did not pay attention when I pulled the original caps. I learned a good lesson that day I have to say.

I usually mark the boards (esp with Asus) which side is the negative with a sharpie pen.

Also, I take photos with my cell phone camera on macro mode and upload it to a 22" LCD monitor(8 MP camera=big picture). I do this in case I don't write down the original caps' locations and specs.
