Missing MOSFETs, resistors, fuses, and protective diodes on MS-7309 ver. 2.3

I've been reading about a lot of MSI motherboards failing because of blown CPU voltage regulators and would like to know if it's because MSI cuts more corners than most companies do.

Here 3 MOSFETs are missing, and some of the MOSFET areas (empty or full) have a tiny resistor near them, but others have a just blob of solder instead of a resistor. Will adding the missing MOSFETs increase the power capacity, and are those resistors meant to sense current or cleaning up ringing?
