    Gigabyte GA-7VRXP

I have an old KT333 mobo in the shop now with bad caps. This is the third board this month that was sent in with bad caps.

Failed units are GSC 6.3V 3300mF units at positions EC 23, 25, 27 and 37. These have blue and gold labels and have leaks at the top vent, the failures are very easy to spot.

Interestingly, the many G-Luxon 6.3V 1000 microfarad units appear to be just fine as are the two GSC 6.3V 1200 microfarad units! What's wierd is that I almost ALWAYS have to change the GSC 1200mfd units and these look just fine.... I'm changing them anyway, I know gremlins when I see them!

The problem I'm facing is that Gigabyte left very little space between caps, so I'm going to have a royal pain trying to find ones that fit. The old ones are tall and narrow and are physically touching eachother. Any ideas as to what fits right? The electronic store in town has good prices, but no caps that fit.

Are they 10mm or 8mm? There are lots of choices at 10mm. For 8mm, I found Panasonic FK 1500/6.3 and Chemicon LXZ 1200/6.3 to be excellent and durable choices. For the 3300/6.3, Rubycon MBZ or MCZ are good choices.

        for the 3300uf caps...

        3300uF 6.3v 10mm or,
        2700uf 6.3v 10mm will do.

I replaced with same...ditto butt ugly but works

GIGABYTE GA-H110M-S2 - Stuck at Debug Code C2 - don't like Patriot Viper Steel RAM but works with G.SKILL
            by DynaxSC
            Hi,

I discovered a strange behaviour of GIGABYTE GA-H110M-S2 board.

            General test conditions:
            - Tested with Core i5 6500 and Core I7 6700K - no difference
            - Default BIOS settings, but tried also altering several memory setting - does not change anything

            What is wrong:

With BIOS F1 and F2 the board normally POST's and boots to Windows 11 with 2 x Patriot Viper Steel PVS416G440C9K RAM (4400MHZ, Samsung B-Die chips)

When BIOS upgraded to anything above F2 (ie. F20-F27b) the board POST stucks after 3 Debug Codes on Code C2

            A Dead/DOA Gigabyte GP-P450b 450W ATX PSU
            by momaka
More eBay specials: this time a Gigabyte GP-P450b 450W ATX PSU for $8 with free S&H. Listed “For part/not working”, as usual. Showed up in a beat up EVGA box without any padding… but that's understandable given the total price. PSU made it out fine without damage. It's a non-modular (yay!), pretty modern-day looking PSU with a black paint and all black cables (meh, not my favorite, but figure it's good to keep a few of these in case I do need one for a more modern PC build, just so my old gray boxes don't look too odd in there.)

And a shot of the label:...
