Got this Asus P4P800-VM recently.
There is no standby power light on the board. There is also no 3.3V DC on the PCI slots.
The transistor C5706 is shorted between B-C, C-E, and B-E. I'm used to seeing the shorted C5707 in Benq monitor boards.
Here is a shot of the c5706 chip. It is sandwiched between the PCI slots and I'm not sure how difficult it is to desolder or even possible without destroying the surrounding chips. I thought about cutting off the legs (inner and outer) and just "stacking" a c5707 on top, but I can't fit my side cutters in between the PCI slots.
Any ideas on how to remove this c5706 chip? I don't have a solder station, chisel tip, or liquid flux to remove the tab. If this is removable with proper tools and technique/skills, then I'll try to find someone else to remove it.
