    troubleshooting broken RX 480 4GB Nitro+

    Hi guys.

im trying to fix my RX 480 4GB Nitro+. This card run fine before and the card suddenly died and my pc can't turn on when the card is attached. The pc run fine when i pull out the card, it seems like i have short on the card.

i look at the card and measured the fuse near the 12volt power with multimeter and the result the fuse is blown.

i also have missing components on the card and i don't know what it is. it looks like a capacitor maybe it's blown from the short.

I've tried to sort this myself but am a bit out of my depth and don't know where to start or in which order to test components.

If someone could point me in the right direction or maybe talk me through what I should do next.

Acer nitro AN515-54-528V / MB: LAh501P/ The graphics card of this notebook disappears!
              by gabrielA7
Simply the frames fall quickly and when I will see in the system manager, the video card disappears! I turned off the machine and noticed that when I turned it back on, it did not raise the voltage of the video card however , right after turning on and then again about 2 times, returned to show the tension in the coils.
Once I got a same board with the same problem, did the rebaling and lasted 3 days, soon after returning I ordered a new chipset, I changed the same but still gave return after about 15 days with the same problem, consisting so, not be chipset problem but some power problem...

The issue with this video card is the HDMI port. Specifically on pin 19 (Diode checks on all other pins are normal). When i do a diode check on it from the pin on the board itself, I have nothing. There is also no short on the pin. Resistance reads about 200k. Normally on any HDMI pin 19 I would expect some voltage drop anywhere from .5v to 1.2v but here, I have nothing. The card is operational and can be used via the displayPort ports, but not through the HDMI. Attached you will find the pdf schematics for the card on page 22. I have verified that all of the resistors on this line before the...

              Graphics Card mounting frame
              by Kemer
Hello, I removed the graphics card from my laptop and I want to heat it in the oven. What I want to ask is, is it okay to heat the card without removing the metal mounting frame on it?

As you can see in the photo, there is a plastic (black) gasket between the metal frame and the card. It sticks the frame tightly to the card.

I previously removed the metal frame while heating it, but it is quite difficult to separate it from the surface it is attached to. If there is no problem, I do not want to remove it.

What worries me right now is the possibility that...
