Before you start messing around flashing the bios reseat the LVDS screen cables. If the gold pins are tarnished clean them with a pencil eraser.Remove the RAM as well, and clean the pins also try known good working RAM.

If you are going to flash the bios you must choose the correct one ,there are 5 different ones listed at HP support , ROM Family SSID 2B06/2B08/2B13/2B0D/2B21.

Jumper 4) FDO should unlock the flash descriptor, you can`t flash the full bios without this unlocked.

    2) BOOT BLOCK and 3) BOOT WRITE should also be jumpered.

Flash the wrong bios and it`ll be bricked. If you have an SPI programmer i highly recommend that you make a backup of the bios first, and post it here.

HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns - Complete Black Screen - Only video on live usb
        by iZakre
        Hello everybody!

To put you in context I recently replaced the battery from my HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns with a used one, everything was going good. The same day, I decided to update the BIOS, everything went good. The thing occurred after I let the battery drain iddling on Windows 11 for the second time to calibrate it that the screen did not turn on again, the computer was on but the screen did not turn, like it would not wake from hibernation. I decided to restart the computer but got no video.

The thing is that I had installed TeamViewer and could log into the computer...

Asus UX3402 / Q409Z - No sound, no TPM, Boot issues: Bios flash?
        by i19
        Hi
I got an Asus UX3402 / Q409Z and after a BSOD I lost sound, tpm 2.0, and if it turns off it can take HOURS before I can boot again.

Reading here and on reddit I figured its a BIOS issue, and that reflashing it may fix the problem.

I want to use an CH341A (new model with 3.3v) to flash it.

My problem is that I'm not sure if the SOIC8/SOP8 clips will attach to the chip and hold properly? (haven't opened my laptop yet, I'm basing this assumption on a picture from the same thread I attached).

Any tips on how to connect to it? Maybe something...

Panasonic CF-20G0247VM BIOS Bad Flash Help
        by James Jackson
I usually try to figure these things out on my own but am asking for help now as I have been beating my head against a wall.

Backstory, I initially ended up with a CF20 Mk2 with a locked BIOS. I used aptio to read the BIOS and made the adjustments to the .rom file and attempted to write it back with aptio before reading other users problems with that setup. Well it bricked the BIOS go figure. Computer no longer boots, black screen. I found a clean BIOS on this forum but now I am having ME issues. So I would rather hand over the aptio dump(pre BIOS brick) and a hardware reader dump(post...

Thinkpad t480s, completely dead after BIOS flash using CH341A programmer
        by what_1282105
Following this guide (https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/co...g_and_flashing) i re-flashed my t480s BIOS using an external (CH341A) programmer. The flash didnt work, so i reverted back to my BIOS backup successfully. The BIOS in the chip and the BIOS backup file are identical according to windows' file compare. The revert, however, didnt work: the only thing the computer does is flash the power button 3 times when AC power is connected. I've tried unplugging the CMOS battery, holding the reset button and holding down the power button- no signs of life....
