GeForce RTX4090 OC24G

My son is trying to play Call of Duty and the max Frame Per second is 30 or lower depending on what screen he is on

However the GPU clock speed is reporting “0”
The GPU vcore voltage values are not stable anywhere from 0.9 to 1.2

This is with his new graphics card

Anyone have any ideas of what is going on or what might be the issue and maybe help resolve this issue

30 is fairly low for that card. did u check video settings especially refresh rate of screen

It turns out that on this motherboard has more than one PCI slot and of course the video card plug in one of the PCI slots ( that was apparently not the right slot for this video card) and when it was moved to the second slot what a drastic difference in performance

I remembered that back in the day when PCI device slot first became available on motherboard that there were different types so I told my son to plug it in one of the other slots and see for shits and giggles if this makes a difference or not well sure enough it makes a big difference

We tried 3D benchmarks testing software and on that test it was only 4 frames per second in the first PCI slot with it in the second slot it was 60 something frames per second what a difference in performance same exact test GPU test

The first PCI slot is a white slot connector and the second and third slots are black this is also what made me think that there might be a difference in what type of PCI slot it was

first slot is x16 and other x16/x8. but with that performance it must be x1 or x4. check cpu-z to see how many lines it connected

With the video card in the best PCI slot deterred by 3D benchmark testing now it around 90 something frames per second

Now playing Call of Duty the frames per second is now around 140 something very big difference compared to what it was
