Zyxel WiFi VDSL VMG1312-b30b dsl port off

    Dear all,

I am experiencing troubles with my wifi zyxel router VMG1312-b30b

DSL port is off, DSL cable isnt detected.
WiFi, Ethernet ports are working well, GUI accessible.

After inspection of the box is obvious, that resistors R8, R16 are damaged/burned. Unfortunatelly, I am not able to find electronic schematic so I dont know the resistance.

Could anyone help me with identification of SMD R8, R16 please ? These are next to DSL (RJ-11)and Ethernet(RJ-45) ports, close to H2001dg.

Also, could you help me with identification of GA1 which is parallel to DSL port ?

    Pictures are attached.

    Thank you in advance.

I would make an educated guess that R14 is the same as R8 and possibly R16.
GA1 looks like a diode to me. Does it measure like one ?

ga1 is a spark gap and should meter open-circuit.

        Thank you.

Right, I did measure open circuit in both directions, so it might be ok ? Or is there anything else what I could test/measure here ?

For education purposes, is there a way how to decode the color code/strip on it and find out the exact model ?

How did you decode the diode ?

An idea how to determine whether is this 10V or 4,3V ?
                      0 and O looks similar

desolder a working one and stuff it on a zener tester.

Right. After desoldering the working one I measured Uz=9.36 V
My new 10V zener diode has got Uz=9.6V.
Is that suitable replacement part ?

                            close enough.
zeners are only acurate to the last 5% usually anyway.

                              I have a thinkpad L480 NM-B461 rev 1.0 laptop functioning normally with Type 1 port (JUSBC1)
if you use port type C 2 (JDOCK1) with a usb type meter it only displays 5v, thank you
I tried to look at the schematic diagram USBC_VBUS20, which is the port path from JusBC 1 to U4701 then goes to the system2 charging IC, why is there no system2 path leading to the charging IC on the TYPEC_VBUS20 port which is JDOCK1, thank you for your help.

if you look at the power sequence there must be 2 types of port type C a (JUSBC1) via U4701 and port type C b (JDOCK1)

Hoping someone can help me identify this HDMI port, and/or a suitable substitute. I have scoured the internet, but no luck.
Is the circle "T" symbol a manufacturers logo?

I've got two boards with the exact same issue, and it's confusing the hell out of me. In short:

                              1. Both boards behave *exactly* the same; they will show WiFi networks to connect to, and will boot fully to Internet Recovery, but they each show zero available WiFi networks once booted to Internet Recovery. I also cannot switch WiFi "off", as in, the toggle will not move.

                              2. Both boards will erase perfectly fine using the "erase mac" function; I can wipe them with disk utility, but if I try to install MacOS from Internet Recovery, it says to connect...

Replacing the WiFi module on a vacuum cleaner iROBOT i7
                              by AlexVG
                              Hi,
I have had an iROBOT i7 with a camera error (error 68) version REV M, year 2018.

I bought a liquid damaged Mainboard with WiFi module, from the same vacuum cleaner, but a different year and a different version (REV G).
(This board does not respond, only the LEDs light up in a circle.
The liquid damage is catastrophic and restoration is impractical).
(I bought this board to get the WiFi module and camera).

The boards are completely different in the installation of elements, even the connector for the WiFi module is different.

                              If...
