Try booting from a linux live cd like puppy or mint.
That way you know it's hardware and not Windows.

Asus FX516PC "No Storage Device Present"
      by aprilmixtape
I recently flashed my Asus Tuf Dash F15 (2021) with a CH341a after having an issue with the laptop not booting for 2 years. After I had flashed the bios, I reinstalled my M.2 SSD that I had removed from the laptop when it stopped booting 2 years ago and booted it up, which took me to the bios instead of booting to the hard drive. In the bios, it says "No Storage Device Present". I turned off the laptop and tried using the other M.2 slot but had the same issue. I suspected the problem was that the SSD was dead so I created a USB Windows 10 Installer and plugged it into another Windows...

Asus X99-pro/usb 3.1 Usb overcurrent device reoccurring issue
      by Yolofolkss
Hi this is a really odd case.
I have removed all of the esd ic for USB 3.0 and 2.0
I measured all of the data lines and 5v usb voltage lines there are no shorts
all of the USB ports have no damage
Clearing the bios using the jumper wont help.

it is still showing USB overcurrent device

the only temporary fix I've tried and worked so far is flashing the bios
      and the error is gone
but when you start the motherboard with a USB device still attached
the USB over current device error is back. the bios needs to be externally flashed...

Crest Smart Home Single Power Adaptor SHSPM1 (rebadged Tuya device) - bad cap causing failure, how to repair
      by mrdevil
      Hi all,

Wanted to share this as I couldn't find anything on the internet about this problem, so pulled one apart and found the problem myself. Years ago I bought approx 20 or so Crest Smart Home Single Power Adapter smart switches - small 240v Tuya-compatible (rebranded) smart switch devices with power monitoring, which Big W had on sale for half price. Paid $7.50 each for these, and they've been incredibly useful for turning things on and off remotely... and monitoring how much power each device uses.

However, after about 12 months, I had a number of these stop working...

      Hofmann geodyna 6300 Wheel balancer
      by Grouickman
      Hi there,

First, I'm not sure it's the right section to post for this type of device, but could not think of something better.

Ok, so my son (a mechanic) bought a faulty Hofmann Geodyna 6300 wheel balancer (which appears to be mostly a re-branded Snap-on wheel balancer).

I'm looking for any resources (doc, manuals, schematics) that would be available for this device or anyone that would have any knowledge on this particular device (or its Snap-On equivalent).

I'm trying to diagnose the fault(s ?), but I can't find any schematic (appart from the...
