    Synology ds415+

Got another synology ds415+ was told that it is just flashing blue power light.

Opened it up and found residue of a previous resistor fox that had been removed and cleaned up a bit but under the microscope it shows

I did the resistor fix twice just to be sure but all I get is the blue power button flashing for over 20 minutes each time until I power it off.

Anyway I changed the power supply for a known working new and same problem also replaced the cmos battery

Only thing I can think of is a possible problem with the memory stick it's oem so not sure this is the problem

Any searches always come with resistor fix or replace the power supply but don't think it is these

you really need to stop getting these synology shit.
some of them have an Atom cpu with a design fault in it that causes slow failure - just thought i'd point that out

Yeh I come across these now and again, but this was supposed to be an easy fix but as usual people are vague and lie, I haven’t heard of a resistor fix not working before, I did it twice just incase, will look at the memory stick later and maybe look at the cpu itself, but will have to find some info on the chip

        Re: Synology ds415+

if your resistor fix is the cpu clock then it probably just finally killed the fet inside the chip
the resistor puts extra strain on it

btw, i know you know this, but people always say "it's an easy fix"
if that where true they would have fixed it themselves.

it's like all the shit on ebay sold as "untested", which is code for 6 people tried to fix it and now it's fucked
