Dell E176FPb No Data found logo

This Dell monitor, with power only connected, as usual displays the data cable disconected, floating logo. When the data cable is attached, the power led turns amber, and the display (or logo) shuts down. I dont think this is a power problem as I have come accross this problem in other types of monitor but never resolved them, as the data board is quite a pain to diognose.
I would be greatful for some tips, if someone had previouse experience with this problem or data board.

    Regards: Andy.

Check the voltage regulators on the logic card (data board). There have been several cases lately where the 1.8 Volt regulator started putting out too high a voltage and apparently damaged the processor chips inputs. Attach a picture if you need help identifying them.

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

Re: Dell E176FPb No Data found logo

Thanks for the advice P.B, I did check the 1.8v and 3.3v regulator along with other associated parts, and could find no wrong. These monitors are a pain to work on as both boards are mounted face first into a metal shroud that is then attached to the screen. This makes it difficult to disassemble and make the connections to safely add the power for testing. Still it had to be done for the process of elimination. I decided to roughly reassemble the unit to see if it worked, and it did. Sometimes just pulling all connectors and pluging them back, resolves some problems, but not very often. It worked this time ,and problem solved.
      Regards: Andy.

Dell Inspiron 3480 All in One corrupt Bios issue: reaches Dell logo and stops
        by computerbacon79
The Dell Inspiron 3480 I own (the all in one, not the laptop) is not wanting to turn on at all. It goes right to a dell logo, but it stays there forever with no other information on the screen. Holding the automatic Bios repair key combo (ctrl+esc) that should let it read a recovery file off a USB drive gets stuck on a black screen and does nothing. No amount of resetting anything so far has worked, and Dell's own support downloads have not really helped. Ive tried another BIN file I found online using my CH341A, and this got me slightly more, that time it displayed a loading bar that never moved...

Dell XPS 9300 (LA-H811P) internal display only shows Dell logo then nothing (everything else works)
        by TheQuentincc
        Hi,
I have a Dell XPS 9300 that's working perfectly fine with an external display plugged, from windows the internal display isn't detected. At boot I can see the Dell logo then when it should display the boot/bios or whatever the screen goes black (no backlight, no image using a flashlight). I tried unplugging everything on the motherboard except the eDP cable but it didn't helped (so it's not the lid sensor). LCDVDD/backlight power are powered down when this happen, PANEL_BKEN_EC and ENVDD_PCH are also down to 0v. It's weird, it almost feels like the motherboard is shutting down the display...

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
        by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...
