Samsung 2235BW disabemly?

Once the plastic back and stand are removed how do you get to the circuit boards without damaging the ribbon and cables.

Hi, although this is not your exact model, you might find some information in this service manual (I couldn't find your exact model, but that is the way it is with free service manuals, they are not all available) that will help you out.

Rddube thanks for posting the PDF manual I was able to remove the power supply board.

I don’t understand why the steel box that holds the circuit boards is not attached to any thing it is just held in place by the plastic back of the monitor.

Nothing is wrong with it yet I just wanted to see whose caps are in it.

My old monitor died so I hit the thrift store looking for a replacement. I saw the worker set the Samsung 2253BW on the shelf so I grabbed it and tested for a screen saver and bought it.
The monitor looks like new inside and out so I was shocked to find out it was made in 2007. This is why I removed the power supply to check the condition of the caps which all look like new.

I have read several old posts here where bad caps cause the two surface mount inverter drives to short. It would be nice to know which caps cause the sm fet's to fail?

Works fine with winrar 3.93
Some new rar archive found to be incompatible with older version also with some zip.
You can use 7zip it's free.

Thanks for the help guys but I cant open that file with 7zip and they want $26 to buy winrar.

This old XP computer is full of bugs and some times things just wont work. I have been trying to down load that manual for the last 8 hours.
