ChiMei A190A2-T0A repair, always in factory test mode, alternating colors

This a very "generic" ChiMei 19" 1440x900 monitor (brand is written very small in back label).

As soon as it is plugged to the wall, without input signal, it shows full screen color red, after 1-2 seconds, green, then blue, then white, then some gray levels. It doesn't respond to front buttons. With VGA signal, display is OK but shows a factory adjusting menu with an option constantly switching. Seems bad TactSwitch problem to me.

After opening I detect a bloated 1000uF/25V cap in power supply, but I'm sure that's not the problem. I replace it anyway, the problem stays. Remove the FFC cable that goes to front buttons PCB and the problem persists! I detect a lower resistance in the line of MENU button, in Main PCB. Follow to 10kΩ SMD resistor array RP47, remove it but still there. Then remove SMD capacitor array CP8 and now it goes away. One of the caps is shorted. After that, the monitor does the same, but only the 1st time: after power off it "forgets" about factory test mode.

Put back resistor array. It can live without the capacitor array.

JVC LT-43C888 (manufactured by Vestel) does not start after trying factory reset, details below
    by masterm
TV: JVC LT-43C888 (purchased in 2018). This is a smart TV with Netflix, Youtube, Freeview and other applications via 'Viewd' app store

    Problem with TV:
    - Netflix stopped working so i tried to do factory reset from the TV menu.
    - I confirmed on-screen but the factory reset did not happen even. It did not take me to 'first-time installation' screen as mentioned in the manual.
    - After waiting for some time, the TV went into a boot loop.
    - JVC logo comes on the screen and LED light flashes for some seconds, then it reboots again and the same thing happens

Philips 70PUS7855/12 bad colors when applying the tape fix on teh T-con board
    by silikon77
    Hi!
Got an 70 inch Philips tv model 70pus7855/12 from scraps and I decidet to give it a go. I'm an enthusiast but no porfessional in the electronics.
Found some advices watching youtube nad came up with this:
It came with no picture, after diagnosing it I found out that the right side of the T.con board was faulty.
I taped down the clock signals and I got a picture but the left side of the panel has less pronounced colours. Only the right 3rd side of the panel has good colors.
    See attached picture.

I tried a few combinations to block individual clock...

    samsung ue46c6000 weird alternating lines
    by Mohammed Mecegguem
    Hello,

I encountered an issue with my TV long before noticing a pattern of alternating red lines. Initially, I replaced the T-Con board, but the problem persisted. After a year, I decided to open the TV again and found some oil leaks around the CPU, RAMs, and LVDS FPC connector, likely from the thermal pads. I reconnected the LVDS connector but still faced the same issue with the alternating lines.

At first, I thought the LVDS cable might be loose. I inspected the cable, found no damage, cleaned the connector, and reconnected it, but the issue remained. This led me to...

[NOT A RESCUE BIOS] Dell Latitude E6530 Rare Factory BIOS (Revision A86)
    by Amber TC
⚠️ Not a Rescue BIOS. Flash at Your Own Risk. ⚠️

    This is not A17.

This is not listed on Dell's support site.

This is an unreleased internal firmware revision recovered from a university loaner Latitude E6530... and it possibly bricked the system it came from.

It is from the 8 MB Winbond W25Q64 chip. Could be nothing burger but given the anomalies this is a very interesting firmware dump.

Firmware collectors and reverse engineers might find this useful, It contains certs, modules, and DXE drivers not present in A17. This is likely...
