I have taken apart an IBM 6734ABD and it has a resistor that got so hot it destroyed any chance of me being able to ID. it. I checked the resistance on it and it is at 150 ohmsI have a tendantcy to not believe it to be correct since it got so hot. I replaced it with another 150 ohm and the voltage to the backlight inverter transformers is about 16 volts ,is that kinda high because the lights get pretty bright ,quickly. I also had to repalce some of the 4600 mosfets that were shorted, not to sure what came first here ,the chicken or the egg. My question is has anybody run into this problem before on this model?
I am waiting for some more mosfets before I try it out again I will post a picture if anybody is interested in this.
