    Bad caps in ViewSonic VP930b?

    I have an LCD whose power will not turn on. There is a cricket sound coming from the transformer on the power supply.

    I attached two images of the caps on the board, they are made by CapXon

    I apologize for the blurry pictures, I can take better pictures if needed.

    Info on the caps

    First Image:

    100uF 400v

    Second Image:

    As seen in the picture
    * 1
    2 3
    * 4
    5 6
    1&4 = 220uF 25v
    2&3 = 470uF 35V
    5&6 = 1000uF 16V

    Is the cricket sound caused by bad caps?

    What caps should I replace the current ones with?

    sorry for second thread, nobody was replying in the other forum

      No need to double post I left a reply in your first thread:

      Elements of the past and the future combining to make something not quite as good as either.

              Are these caps easy to access, since no one supplied the schematic. Or, is a schematic necessary?

                Can you please give me the specific links to the digikey caps and how many of each? I would greatly appreciate it - I'm going to attempt the repair.

                Thanks

                  Manufacturers sometimes make board changes so it is always best to make your own parts list. If you follow PlainBill's instructions, you can order Panasonic FM or FR caps.
