Re: HP W22 lights up then goes dark.

New user here!, I have four cfl in my view sonic, there is one cfl that seems to
cause the others to flicker and then go out, if I unplug one that I believe is bad I
have a bright screen but still goes out after 1-2 seconds with it unplugged , which suggest the the cfl is bad, but would simply unplugging the bad cfl allow the others to work with out shutting down after 1-2 seconds

Or must the fourth bulb be pressent and working, for it to stay on?

I did not want to buy a bulb just to see, since I already replaced cap's

    Kind Regards,

The protection circuit will shut down the backlights unless all CCFLs are connected and working properly.

Hey mate, the pics on the first page looks suspicuously like my NEOVO monitor, could you please post a pic of the whole board.

Maybe I could buy a LCD with a cracked screen and save me some soldering! hehe

You would be surprised how many CCFL assemblies are interchangeable between monitors.
If you are working on a 22” monitor look for a true 22'' screen, Not one that's 21.5 and marketed as a 22”.
The other critical measurement is the thickness of the screen, most of the newer monitors are using a really thin screen where as some older monitors have a thick screen.
Whatever I do, I consider it a success, if in the end I am breathing, seeing, feeling and hearing!

70LE660U dark cloud or black screen with sound.
            by Rozp
            Hello Everyone,

This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.

I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area....

Christmas lights - Something I am doing wrong
            by Francesc V.
            Hi:

i am trying to repair this Christmas lights from my parents. They are incandescent lights, no led lights.

I have tried with 12V a 24V small lights that I found in Aliexpress but is obvious that are not the right ones. They last microseconds connected. Do they blow because of Amps or Volts?

If I measure the Amps in the string........it's only 90mA. If I measure the Volts in the "green box"......it's between 0 and 190V, but doing a little bit of maths from the number of bulbs in series.......it's only about 6V per lamp.

            Could...

            LG 65UK6090PUA - picture dark
            by Danstona
Was watching this set, and suddenly it went dark. Picture is still visible, just very dark. Tried checking all settings, adjusting brightness to 100% no change. Reset through menus, no change.
bought used boards from ebay (power and input boards) replaced with same results, changing brightness does seem to have a slight affect.. but not to normal visibility of picture.
I'm handy, fixed TVs before.. I can't see any issues with boards... hoping someone can point me in the right direction to properly diagnose. I don't believe the LEDs are caput, since the picture is on and equal...

            Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 5 - Not Powering On - 3 Blinking Lights - 20 volts 0.224 amps
            by bialag
            Hello,

I have a Lenovo here that does not want to power on. The motherboard appears to be clean, no sign of corrosion or obvious fried components. When plugged in, I see 3 blinking lights and then off. It would cycle the 3 blinking lights every 10 seconds or so as long as I have the adapter plugged in. Amp meter shows 20 volts, 0.224 amps, no fan spin, red light indicator near the charge port.

Thermal camera shows a section of the motherboard that is warmer than the rest. It is near the connector labels JRTC1 (CMOS battery). Diode measurement to ground for pin 1 = OL,...
