i can generate the code myself now I just needed to suffix the 16 char code with the service tag.
however the problem is the admin password is still set and I am unable to remove it!
Doesn't matter if I press ctrl + enter or not the admin password still stays set! And then on the next reboot same problem - it simply won't accept the code as the previous password...Last edited by rash.m2k; 09-16-2021, 01:34 PM.Leave a comment:

Hi all,
I've bought a dell vostro 5515, but the seller does not have the bios password - they have receipt, laptop registered on their company name etc etc and they have correctly done the dell transfer of ownership to me, however it will take 10 working days!
I'm trying to use the laptop before that time. I have bought a dell bios password from ebay - and it works and I'm able to change the bios settings but then when I go to remove the admin password it says incorrect password!

Ok this is driving me nuts now. I have changed the power board, because it was only £6 and worth a punt - but still has the original mainboard in, the replacement did not fix the issue.
However the TV now works for a few days perfectly fine, then last night I switched it on after being in standby the whole day and within 10 mins the loop started it again.
So I left it off for a few minutes thinking some component had heated up, so pointed a fan at the back to cool it down to no avail.

Well I've bought a new board with exact same model, but this also is faulty however it lasts longer before getting into the cycle loop, the old board lasted about 10 mins before boot cycling this new board has lasted a whole day...Leave a comment:

Seems this tv works all fine but the image is mirrored and also upside down, other than that seems to work all fine.

Ok all - I have managed to kind of fix this, the issue was indeed the mainboard. I have bought a mainboard for UE49MU6500, and change the settings in the secret menu so that it now reads as UE55MU6500 for my 55 inch - BUT the picture is all messed up?
