    My I-INC if281d monitor turns on for a couple seconds, then goes black.

    I have already replaced the 2 capacitors mentioned in other threads on the board here, the logic board does not seem to be the culprit though. If I shine a light on the panel I can see the image just fine, it is simply the backlight that dies after ~2 seconds.

    Should I replace the inverter board? Since I can see the image I am assuming the logic board works just fine, and since the panel powers up and works, the PSU is also good?

    Yes, most likely the inverter or CCFLs are the issue if you can see an image on the screen and everything else seems to work.

    Before blindly replacing the inverter and hoping that is the problem, I suggest you check the CCFLs in your monitor first - either with an external inverter or perhaps by hooking the CCFLs to another monitor (may be a bit tricky to do that, but is doable). Alternatively, you could use a CFL to test your inverter. Procedures here:
