    Re: Samsung 2253BW inverter problem.

Hi, I found the Mosfet here http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-STM8309-8...-/390166220762

Can anyone suggest me web site to only buy one?
And should I worried about the other number on the Mosfet ?
    Thanks.
    Frank.

I believe other number is something like LOT No, or code of state of origin, or something along that line.

So, those are fine replacements. I know some people avoid Ebay, but personally I don't know anything about that, since I rarely order parts on-line.

you should replace both of them at the same time.

I'd go with Ebay, or local electronics store, wherever you can get 'em.

              Re: Samsung 2253BW inverter problem.

I get my parts from "sort by lowest price + shipping" on ebay.

              That leads to

              http://www.ebay.ca/itm/380932103362

The above is for quantity = 5. $3.33 + $2.67 s/h. I have no affiliation with the seller or ebay.

Recently, I just opened an account with aliexpress.com and I'm waiting for my first order to arrive. Aliexpress can be cheaper. Example, $3.02 CDN + free shipping

              http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-o...74_75,201409_2

              So Aliexpress is 50% cheaper.

If my experience on Aliexpress is positive, ebay has serious competition. Again, I have no affiliation with seller on Aliexpress or Aliexpress itself.

Thanks alot, those prices make more sense to me.
Keep in mind that I`m not sure I will be able to solder
                something that small.

                  Practice on a dead board.

Alternatively, you can use a hot air station. If you don't have that, you can use a heat gun. See this recent video on how norcal715 does with a heat gun (about 2:36 into video).

PS. I use kapton tape to protect the parts around the component I'm replacing to protect them from the heat.
