    ASUS VW195D no signal

    Hi,

The fault with this monitor is 'no signal' and going to sleep. A while back it was just occasionally annoying but now it's more off than on. Since stripping it down it hasn't worked at all.
I've not been able to find a service manual for this one either and all the ASUS ones that are available aren't the same as this one.

I've yet to pull the caps but I'm doubtful they are the culprits.
Voltages to the interface/motherboard are 5v and 3.2v so I'm assuming these are correct and that's all that's needed?

    Any pointers would be good

    Thanks

    Re: ASUS VW195D no signal

Pulled all the caps today and as suspected they all tested fine, ESR and value. Interesting thing is the laptop I'm connecting to knows it's connected to the monitor as it says it's a 19" monitor and that's without the monitor being powered?

I'm assuming the VGA connection must provide some power for it to read the EEPROM on the monitor motherboard.

I've also tried to see if I can get the monitor into service mode but no joy there either. It would appear once it gets the 'no signal' error it won't do anything?

ASUS TUF X570-PLUS doesn't power on: no VRM_EN signal.
      by ShadowAi
Hello, I have an issue with the motherboard. Specifically, it doesn't power on, more precisely, the POST initialization doesn't occur.

Let me start from the beginning, the motherboard suddenly stopped working one day. There are no beep signals from the speaker, and the debug LEDs are not lighting up. After inspecting it under a microscope and using thermal imaging, I didn't find anything that could be damaged.

After that, I began voltage measurements, in which I noticed the absence of VDDQ, VDDP, VTT, and VPP lines. Later, I checked if there is an EN state on these lines,...

HannStar Hanns-G HC194d LCD monitor repair
      by momaka
Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

      ASUS PG27U MONITOR
      by myth77
First, i dont work on monitors only on laptops and that also for a hobby. So, i received this monitor in the title and it was completely dead, and power supply when used was going off to a power protection. I found that one of the voltage regulators for backlight GS9238 is dead, so i replaced it and monitor is working fine now. But...on the main motherboard first thing i tested was a main power rail and after power jack there is one mosfet Nikos PD537BA. The thing is when i tested all pins of that mosfet are shorted in between. Now when i plug the adapter the monitor just goes on. I dont think...
