    HPL1506 LCD 15" distortion

    Hi guys,

I would like to get some advice/help on my HP1506 lcd monitor. The problem is when I turn it on after 5-10 mins distorted lines comes up. Now I know you'll have me check all the caps which I did, I even replaced them from the power panel. Here's the funny thing, the distortion only reacts on detailed things on the screen especially "texts". Doesn't matter what program is on the screen as long as there is a long sentence ( of texts ) it reacts to that,

I have a video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph4mNK2TOmI

I tried to use it without the case/cover and placed an e-fan at the back and the distortion stops.

here's its board ( just from google but it's exact ):

I hope you can give me some advice/help on fixing it. Thanks!

    Good guys.
I have this problem with this Dell notebook, it has that distortion on the screen as you can see in the photo. has it ever happened to you?

I present the tests and measurements that I already did:

I tried with another screen and it does the same thing, I also put this screen on another one and it looks perfect.

I checked the LVDS flex that goes to the display and it is perfect
Through HDMI output the image looks perfect

    All power lines were measured...

Late model "40 RCA LED LCD, upper 1/3 screen distortion, no T-Con board
    by NorthernCrow
    Greetings,

I have a quick question for some of the more experienced techs out there.
(my background: I do component level work and am somewhat experienced with TV repairs)

"40 RCA RLDED4030A-B-RK LED LCD TV, about 2 years old, the set experiences distortion in the upper 1/3 of the screen, distortion is not static (at least not all of it),
It appears as what seems to be fast rolling reflections of what is displayed on the lower screen sections and also some light colored horizontal lines.
A thing to note, if a large portion or all of the...

Sharp SC9570AV distortion, missing output channel
    by Uranium-235
    15 year old, wasn't plugged in/used for 3-4 years.

I have a recording of the working speaker, kind of cracking high distortion. Nothing out of the other one. These are using his 120w. I have some 10w PA speakers that both work on, so it's probably handling high loads

I brought a 40W PA amp to his house and hooked his speakers to and both sound fine.

Please tell me it's something as easy as bad caps lol

Nice AB amp IC. Has it's own heatsink fan. Could be that. Probably not hard to find a replacement.

    Caps DO look good,...

    Microwave reacts badly to fat
    by Curious808
Microwave seems to react badly to anything fatty. At the mildest, the time display starts flickering. Sometimes, it resets, the display goes black and the remaining time is gone. Sometimes it zaps and crackles. Symptoms seem to be worse depending on how fatty the food is. Goes wild, dimming from about the first second of trying to reheat a strip of precooked bacon. A precooked meatball causes occasional dimming. It works just fine with no-fat foods.

Started a couple of weeks ago when I put in a small raw porkchop. After a few seconds, the unit started spitting and zapping, and I...
