Hi guys,
I would like to get some advice/help on my HP1506 lcd monitor. The problem is when I turn it on after 5-10 mins distorted lines comes up. Now I know you'll have me check all the caps which I did, I even replaced them from the power panel. Here's the funny thing, the distortion only reacts on detailed things on the screen especially "texts". Doesn't matter what program is on the screen as long as there is a long sentence ( of texts ) it reacts to that,
I have a video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph4mNK2TOmI

Re: AX3650 no display
Unfortunately the video cards I have in here are AGPs they have the small ring that has a wire swirled on it that looks thin so I guess it wont work. Don't have motherboards on stock as well. But if ever I get one I'll try it definitely
Thanks for the advice on selling it but i think I'll just keep it. Somehow it acquired a sentimental value...

Re: LED Headlight for Motorcycle
I've adjusted the headlight so it won't affect others
So far these LEDs are ok for now....

Re: LED Headlight for Motorcycle
hey guys I used a LED resistor calculator which a searched in google and ended up on this circuit, resistors aren't heating up ( although warm ).
Thanks for all your replies!!...

My MC is a Yamaha Mio 110cc. When I tested the headlight pins while engine is on, it reads 18-24v when I rev it....

Re: LED Headlight for Motorcycle
hey guys I did this and the resistors are still hot but not as hot as before. Still thinking they might burn when I give it a long ride. Any suggestions?

Re: LED Headlight for Motorcycle
hi thanks for your reply, I was told that the headlight supply of the motorcycle has AC and that is the reason why there is a rectifier so that it will be converted to DC, ( it does light up though ). But I will try to series it first and use the same resistors, maybe I'll copy the same 3 LEDs in 1 series with a 120 ohms 1/2 watt. I'll do it when I arrive home ( still at work)...

Re: LED Headlight for Motorcycle
OMG im sorry guys I had the LEDs in parallel.......
I'll give you guys an update after I put them in series...im so emabrrassed
these LEDs came from flashlights and I didn't bother removing them from their mini PCB so I assumed they're in series.
sorry.. just a noob in electronicsLast edited by boyrekta; 09-03-2014, 07:57 PM.

Re: LED Headlight for Motorcycle
hi thanks for the reply!
they are 3v to 3.3v LEDs
drop is 4.2v
unfortunately I don't have a tool to measure the current, my tester is crappy...

LED Headlight for Motorcycle
Hi Guys,
I saw a diagram of a LED Headlight for a Motorcycle. So I tried following it's instructions.
I've used these:
72 pcs 5mm LEDs
120 ohms 1/2 watt 12 pcs
also created a rectifier to convert the AC to DC:
50v 100uF Cap
4pcs IN4007 diodes
so here is the diagram: ( sorry I just did it in mspaint )
The lights are so bright and I tested them on standby for 2-3 minutes.
The problem is the resistors heats up that you can't touch them. I'm worried if I use my...Last edited by boyrekta; 09-03-2014, 02:15 AM.

Re: AX3650 no display
well guys i think this is the end for my card, I went to every store I know but non of them supplies r60 inductors. I guess it's time to have it replaced. Thanks to all that replied on this thread, I really appreciated them.

Re: AX3650 no display
thanks for the advice, I'll get a replacement for the inductor with 1.2uH. about the caps, I'll try to look for a better brand, here in the Philippines we have few electronic stores that sells these electronic components so we only get what they have. About the cap near the mosfets, I soldered it on the other side
I'll post an update afterwards maybe next week . Thanks again!...

Re: AX3650 no display
well guys replacing the mosfets didn't help, still no display and the inductor on the right still heats up.
i hope this picture helps...

Re: AX3650 no display
wow! thanks for these answers, yeah I watched a video in youtube how to remove a mosfet using a soldering iron, I used a 120W and whew it popped up right away ( well the other one got fried), Ive replaced them both though but I haven't tried it yet since it's was late and now I'm at work.
I'll get a clear picture of it and post it later as soon as I arrive home. Although that is kind of messy since I'm a noob on soldering mosfets.I really want to fix this for my pocket's sake
and especially for knowledge. Thanks gu...

Re: AX3650 no display
hey bro, both fets are shorted i'll try to replace them by removing their pins and putting a new ones top. i'll give you an update. Thanks....

Re: AX3650 no display
hmmm you know I was actually thinking of those 2 fets, problem is I have no hot air to remove them, maybe I can remove their pins and put a replacement above them if they are faulty? What do you think?...
