Dell inspiron 3421
Mother DNE40-CR MB.
Good guys.
I have this problem with this Dell notebook, it has that distortion on the screen as you can see in the photo. has it ever happened to you?
I present the tests and measurements that I already did:
I tried with another screen and it does the same thing, I also put this screen on another one and it looks perfect.
I checked the LVDS flex that goes to the display and it is perfect
Through HDMI output the image looks perfect
All power lines were measured with an oscilloscope and are at normal values without ripple.
I measured the LVDS signals on my 40mhz oscilloscope, DATA 0, DATA 1, DATA 2, CLK and they are present (the limitations of the oscilloscope do not allow me to analyze the synchronism) but they are present.
It beeps 8 times, which on Dell means a display problem, which clearly is not the display itself because I already verified it.
In this architecture, the LVDS signal comes from the Intel SLJ8E BD82HM76 PCH, which is separate from the processor (northbridge). I reballed it and it does the same thing.
Without hope or reason that could come from the BIOS side, I re-recorded the BIOS and it did the same thing, I re-recorded the original file.
