The problem is in the panel, try disconnecting the cable and look at the image on half the screen, the defect with stripes will disappear....

ViewSonic Pf815 (branded as P225f) Horizontal Deflection Issues - Running out of Ideas
        by rstrube
Note: apologies I initially posted this request for help in the wrong forum! I am reposting it here and will take down the original posting.

        Hi Everyone,

I've been working on repairing this beautiful CRT monitor off and on for the past several months and I'm really at a loss for what might be causing the problem.

Unlike other common Horizontal Deflection issues which result in a steady vertical line, when I turn the monitor on, there is a pulsing (somewhat segmented) vertical line. I've attached a photo that shows the issue (difficult to capture without video)....

The monitor itself is branded as a P225f, but it turns out that it's actually a Pf815 that has an Add-On smallish PCB that expands it to support...

        Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Issue on DC/DC chip on Samsung UE55MU9000 motherboard
        by totof
I have a problem with my Samsung UE55MU9000T TV, which is out of order. The TV starts up normally, but after about a minute, horizontal lines begin to appear on the screen, and after another minute, only horizontal lines remain.

I noticed that the DC/DC converter on the motherboard (BN41-02570B) gets slightly warm, and when it reaches approximately 43 degrees Celsius, the horizontal lines appear. If I cool the converter with a freeze spray, the lines disappear, but of course, they reappear after a few seconds. I disconnected the LVDS cables and observed that the temperature of the...
