    HP Elitedisplay E231

    Hello,

    I have this HP monitor which flickers for 15 seconds approximately when it cold starts (when power cable gets connected). After these 15 seconds the monitor works just fine.
    Also when it comes up from sleep mode also works fine.
    the PSU and mainboard are fine because I tried swapping with good boards and it also does this. I am not looking to repair it, just as general knowledge what it might be.

      Good day!
      I have a customer's laptop — Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54 (EH5VF - LA-H501P). It has a display on the external monitor and it's working fine, but the issue is NO display on the internal screen. I already replaced the eDP cable and checked the LCD connector pins.

      Here are the voltage readings:
      • Input – 19V (stable)
      • +LCDVDD – 3.3V briefly, then drops to 0V
      • EDP_HPD – 3.3V briefly, then drops to 0V
      • PCH_BKL_PWM – 2.2–5V briefly, then drops to 0V
      • EC BKOFF# – 1.8V briefly, then drops to 0V
      • PANEL_OD_EN – 0.3V

      Is it possible that the EC chip is corrupted or damag...

      Hello!
      Looks like I fried something when my EDP cable got squeezed on the hinge. I replaced the cable but still no display. Laptop works fine with external monitor connected through HDMI and Display Port-USB C port. I took it apart and I see a burnt component. Can anyone help me identify what this component is? I tried to use schematics for another G15 but it does not match on the amount of pins and size. I attached pictures. The component has a label on it - (21A29)

      Laptop is a Asus G15 Advantage Edition 2021 Laptop Ryzen 9 5980HX - 6800M...

      Got a case of something new weird at work. There is an old 2nd gen Intel i3 in an old “Pizza box” shell that has a small form factor power supply. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures and model number off it.

      Anyway, I get to work and get to look at this computer. Standby LED on the PSU is on, but the computer won't start. Hmm o.k. take the battery out of the main board try again, nothing.       Good evening, gentlemen.

      I have a problem with my monitor. It turns off after a few seconds or flickers. Shining a flashlight on the screen doesn't show any image, so I guess it's not the "2 seconds to dark" I read in the forum.

      To turn it back on, I have to press the power button twice. Then after a few seconds it turns off again or flickers. See video.

      Hi there!
      Someone gave me their old monitor, it's Dell S2715ht.
      The owner was using it when his PSU began to smell and then to smoke. It literally began to melt. He turned the monitor off, pulled the PSU, and ditched it because it was smelly even after it cooled. So I got the monitor but not the plug.
      Now, I tried to bring the monitor back to life, by plugging one of my many Dell laptop PSUs. They are of the same 19.5V, and the wattage of the laptop PSU is higher than that which the monitor is rated for. Visually, the socket on the monitor seems compatible, and the plug plugs...
