I have one of these guys that is actually working fine. Should I replace C605 just to prevent it from eventually killing the rest of the board? Anything else? Any recommendations appreciated. I've already "repaired" three of these by wiring in a Dell PA9 laptop adaptor.
Dell 2407Wfpb that is working fine... for now.

by MMH3Hello,
i have many 5050sff. all of them, and how i experienced over many years for all about 250 DELLs goin through my hands, are fully flashable and can be serviced in any way when the service_mode jumper is set.
Never ever i experienced problems with that.
Now i have one 5050sff machine, where this jumper isnt working at all.
I do not get the normal messge that the jumper is set when booting and a short test with FPT just confirms this. Everything is locked -->> EVEN for reading !?
The history of the machine is that i used it in my office... -
by emil_tHello guys. I have a problem with a PNY XLR8 GAMING RTX3090 graphics card. The problem is that it displays and works fine, but the fans don't spin at all. The problem occurred when someone else removed the fans in order to clean it and broke one of the fan connectors. He replaced it himself and after that, it wasn't working anymore. I guess he damaged something else in the process. What i have done so far: I found 2 capacitors next to the connector that were in a bad shape, he must have touched them with his tools - they weren't shorted, but i replaced them with similar ones from a similar card....04-12-2024, 06:54 AM

by CapLeakerGot a case of something new weird at work. There is an old 2nd gen Intel i3 in an old “Pizza box” shell that has a small form factor power supply. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures and model number off it.

Hmm o.k. take the battery out of the main board try again, nothing.O.k. then… unplug the power supply from the main board and put in a full size ATX PSU (yeeeesss! Exact that blown Powerman IP that I fixed a while back), plug it in and the old...

by MireniaHi everyone,
I've got a little "problem child": my Dell Latitude 7420 2-in-1, which had a faulty mainboard.
I replaced it, but ever since, the touchscreen no longer works — and honestly, I’m running out of ideas…
In Windows Device Manager, I just see an I2C HID Device with error code 10. Sporadically, the touchscreen is recognized correctly for just a few seconds, but I haven’t been able to determine under which circumstances this happens.
The touchscreen also doesn’t work in UEFI/BIOS, although it’s enabled... - Loading...
