No red ona Dell Ultra scan P991

When I went to the district yard to pick up my P201 monitors I was also given this. It was a perfect addition to my dimension 4100.
I installed it, plugged it in and turned it on.
Immediately I saw the screw was a light blue and red did not register. I wiggled the cord (from it's limited space) and got nothing. I tried warming the thing up and hitting it and still nothing. So now I assumed a blown red gun but then I disconnected the cord and with the "no signal detected" message came three bars.
    One blue
    One green
    One red

Okay, so it was still able to display red but not from any computer? WTF?
Is it doing the classic "dell thing" and refusing to be a good monitor?

Maybe the wire for red in the cable is broken...

Do a OHM test on it

Yep. One pin was crushed flat against the side of the connector.
I was wondering why I was having a tough time plugging the monitor in.

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
          by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Dell ultra 7070 ,Foxconn PWM laptop case fan. Spins at 100% speed in failure mode.
          by kleung
I wanted to add to the knowledge base about a PWM case fan that it can fail at 100% speed.

On my Dell ultra 7070 (this is a 0.6 L pc so uses laptop parts); I had the case fan suddenly go 100% and I couldn't control it. I disconnected/reset bios and it was only solved when I swapped in a replacement fan.

I have tested and there is continuity between the 4 wires pins and the circuit board.

That is the extent of my troubleshooting. I took pictures of the circuit board but don't know what component would die (PWM controller?) that could cause this to happen....
