You are in the wrong forum!! Anyway on ibm laptops there is a chip that holds the password, in the web i found years ago a project with a very simple interface to build and connect it to a pc an the IC by soldering 2-3 wires and with a piece of software reset the password.. search search.. -

Problem
This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached.... -

I'm dealing with a classic BIOS corruption issue on an HP Pavilion 15-n058sr and hoping someone here might have the original BIOS file or point me in the right direction.
Symptoms:- Laptop powers on but no display at all (completely black screen)
- Caps Lock blinks twice with a pause, then repeats continuously
- F12 LED stays on permanently
- No POST, no boot sequence, nothing on screen
Based on HP diagnostic codes, the 2-blink Caps Lock pattern indicates BIOS corruption/failure.

Hi, i have a Panasonic Cf-W5 with the bios password, I tried remove cmos but problem didnot solve.
