    Flatron w2241S no power

    Hi all,

    I have a Flatron w2241s no power which I got from a friend, so I don't know exactly what symptoms it had before it went dead. The schematic I fond is here:

    The unit has no power, and no LED is lit. I changed all electrolytic caps, and I powered the unit. The unit didn't turned on, and I noticed the SMPS transformer is faintly ticking. I tought a short and started to investigate. Indeed the 22v line is shorted. As soon as I separated the power source from the inverter by removing a jumper, the SMPS started working and I had correct +5v, +27v and 22v between 5v line and 27v line.

    Now, I never touched an CFL inverter in my life, and Im just learning, so I ask for advice what could cause the short in the inverter.

    Another question I have is if you can check the inverter mosfets in the circuit.

      Repair of an LG split AC system indoor unit PCB

      I am trying to repair an LG split AC indoor unit, which does not start and gives a CH05 error code.
      This indicates an error in the communication between the outdoor and the indoor unit.
      The outdoor unit is fine, so the problem is the indoor PCB.
      The indoor unit is an LG PC09SQ NSJ (3SNM09JA2FA), and the PCB has the following type number: EAX35907219-1.2 (see photo1)
      I changed optocouplers ICO1X & ICO2X and the NPN transistor S9013 which drives optocoupler ICO2X (see photo2), but this did not remedy the fault.

      Does anybody have the schematics of this board,...

      I just got this tv today and it appeared to have no backlight on. After taking off the rear cover and checking again in the dark I can see that MAYBE one quadrant is lit.. But still it's quite dim. I was going to check the LEDs with my tester, and I found LED 1 and LED 2 + pins on the wire from the inverter, but I couldn't identify a ground. Nonetheless I tried using a mounting screw on the inverter board and also the chassis as ground but regardless my tester reads 300 which is what it reads when there is no voltage draw.

      I don't know how exactly to test the inverter itself. Is it...

      Hi to all,

      I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

      I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

      Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...

      Yesterday I successfully repaired a Middle Atlantic UPS2200R-IP that had inadvertently been used as a surge suppressor at our transmitter site. It has already been replaced with an updated one but it's coming home with me now instead of being e-cycled. To be specific, this is the MA model that has the blue backlit display and has been discontinued, although this design may have been used in many UPS units including the smaller Middle Atlantic ones in this series.

      Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line

      Hi all.

      I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
      The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

      The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

      Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.


      Hoping to fix...
