Sorry to bring up a old post but i was wondering what the problem was as i have just been given one to play with.

OP had a bad rectifier diode. I presume it was for the power supply.

The picture is fine on the left hand quarter and the rest of the screen has vertical lines down it, there is no visible damage and i tried the usual pressing round the edge of the screen etc...

Try cleaning up the LVDS cable between the logic board and the t-con board. If not, it could be the LCD going bad.

I ended up buying the same model. Replaced it and it fired up nicely.

Possibly ISL9R1560P2 or ISL9R1560PF2 (isolated) might fit, but I don't know about their availability at stores mentioned. However forward voltage VF value is bigger, which might be an issue.

Perhaps others can help I have looked and can find no 2 legged (single) schottky diodes
perhaps you can get away with using one half of a dual?? - perhaps someone will know?
