Sony Vaio PCG-3E2L -- Glitchy lines at bottom of the screen.

Most of the screen is good. The very top line is glitchy, and the bottom inch of the screen is very glitch. If you can see, the top of the screen is duplicated in the glitchy bottom part. The glitchy bottom part is not static, it changes and flickers but with an obvious pattern.

LCD or GPU?

Fan is seized, so i'm thinking the GPU may be permanently damaged from overheating.

I have tried to wiggle the connection, and also reflowing the GPU. Neither helped.

You are in the wrong forum - ask a mod to move it to laptops

Replace / repair the fan ?

Woops. I was debating on which forum to post in. Can someone move it if possible?

I will defiantly replace the fan if I can get a clear display, but the fan alone isn't going to help anything at this point.
