    Proview 700P RPC-787KC/October 2006

    Hello
I have this monitor (with speakers) that once in a while does something like: half screen split weird lines flickering
I once had it sent to service in warranty and they exchanged D17 and D18 with 1N4148.
I keep changing the same diodes when it restarts the weird flickering thing.
For now i tried 1N4449 since I couldn't find 1N4149 to see if the thing comes back again.
Just wanted to give people a head's up before people would think throwing it away.
Will keep you posted if the image distortion comes back again.

That looks a lot like something i've had in for repairs, only it was called "Bestview". I don't recall if it had speakers tho, but anyway...

The real cause of that issue is likely to be the logic board, specifically, the 1.8v regulator or the capacitor on its output. You haven't told us where the two replaced diodes are located, a schematic would be helpful.

Even though the caps on the power board looked OK I replaced them. There were 2 caps of 680uF/25V on one voltage side and another 2 of 680uF/25V on the other and I replaced them with caps of 1000uF/25V + 470uF/25V on each side. Also there were another 2 caps of 470uF/25 witch I also replaced.
So far it's looking fine and no flickering has appeared in the last 12 hours (while it was working)

ACER BM320 Monitor - Horizonal Flickering Lines After a While
          by reessi
          Hello,

The monitor started off showing flickering thin (1 pixel) lines horizontally every say 3mm..

They are black on the right and gradually fade to nothing on the far left.
They start either after 5 mins or up to 2 hours after so annoying for testing.
They flicker continuously very fast! With a slight pause milli-second every second.

Initially I cleaned the LVDS cable and connected to the T-Con and then it worked fine for 3 weeks but not sure if this was just co-incidence.

I tested each half by removing the first the left flex from...

Fixing an I-Inc IF281D for the 3rd time, now with added flickering!
          by DrvLikHell
Hello everybody! It's been nine years and I'm back again with the same monitor that several people here helped me fix back then. The first time, I replaced two caps as was recommended here and the original problem was solved. Then it started acting up a few years later and I came back for a parts list and replaced a few more caps (I didn't make a post about that and don't remember which ones), and again the problem was solved. This time, however, I'm not sure if it's caps.

The monitor stays on but certain colors will flicker. Generally it's darker colors like dark greys or dark blues,...

What I notice the buffering board, the flat cable becomes very hot, I don’t think it s normal, I’m talking about the orange flat cable soldering on the buffering board, both side are very hot. I give you the photo with both the ribbon cable on and a photo with the right off and with the lefts...
