Siemens-Nixdorf MCM 2105 NTD vertical deflection collapses

    Hallo,

is anybody experienced with the Siemens-Nixdorf huge crt-monitors? Here the vertical deflection collapses until there is only a horizontal white line visible. Sometimes the screen appears, for 1-2s, then collapsing again. I got a schematic from the MCM 21T1 Series, where is an IC702 responsible for the vertical deflection. Until now I did not open the chassis, just ready for experiences of somebody here. Thank you!

Whats the part number of IC702? First thing first, we should check to see if the chip is getting the right voltage.

Could you perhaps post the schematic for us too?

      Hi ben7,

it seems that I got the wrong schematic, because haven't found an IC 701 inside this monitor. Also some transistors which are inside aren't found on the schematic. That might be for sure a different chassis. I will reply if I have found the right schematic.

        Viewsonic G810 vertical deflection problem
        by Returning Buick
I have a G810 monitor i've had for years but it has developed a problem with vertical collapse. Is there anybody here who has worked on these and can help me find where the circuit even is for the vertical deflection?

Sony Trinitron (KV-20FV12) Vertical Deflection Stopped
        by motorahead
Hi everyone, I've been troubleshooting my 20" Sony Trinitron (KV-20FV12) CRT after it failed to show a picture. The standby LED is blinking 4 times, which according to the service manual is a failed vertical deflection via the self-diagnostic check during power up.

After getting the TV checked out by a technician and doing research on my own. The most obvious first step was to replace the IC502. I've done so with an exact NOS replacement with no luck. I've read a few suggestions to make sure the 12V supply to pin 2, but that voltage check would seem misleading? It seems if the...

Looking for Vertical IC for RCA Chassis CTC159L CRT
        by mopenstein
I'm working on my 27" RCA console TV built in 1990. It had some vertical rollover for a few months that went away after being powered on for a few minutes. I had been meaning to open it up and check it out but it had total vertical collapse before I could get to it.

Now that I have the time I opened it up and found a couple leaky capacitors around the vertical ic. So I figured the caps went bad and cooked the vertical IC.

I got the caps out and replacements on order. But when I took out the Vertical IC I saw that the chip numbers have been almost completely wiped...

        Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
        by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

Vizio M65Q7-H1 Red Vertical Strips fixed by tape blocking LC1 signal to half of the panel

        Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

        Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...
