Need help with Samsung syncmaster 910mp "function pcb"

Hi all,
I've a Samsung Syncmaster 910mp monitor but without what, on some schematic I've found on internet, they called it function pcb, where the front command switches are (like power, menu, enter and so on)

I've only found schematics of the main pcb ho I can't find any details about the function pcb that I need to make from scratch... the only thing I've found is in the schematic of another Samsung tft monitor (171N) that uses the same chip where the inputs from the front commands end, the NT68F63L.
However that other monitor uses a reference 5v instead on the 3.3v used in my 910mp, but if I've understand it correctly every switch simply closes the circuit with a different resistance value.

If I still don't find anything I'll need to make some experiment searching for the right resistors values

Does anyone have some useful details about that function pcb?

Hi - what happened to the old switch board. Have you got any of it?
Can you post pictures of what you have got and a picture of the front of the set where
it goes showing the purpose of each switch.

I received that monitor as not working, I saved it from the trash and repaired it I suppose the previous owner has removed the speakers and the function pcb thinking the latter integrates the amplifier, but it's wrong... the ampli in on the main pcb in that model.
So actually I haven't any little part of the original function pcb...

Googling I've found a partial image of what I need the function pcb is the little one on the image bottom.

Hi sorry to get your hopes up I thought I had one of these sets but mine is a 711mp which is a monitor/tv. I see yours has a scart socket which is kind of unusual for a monitor?
Anyway I have taken it apart in case it is of some use in your project.

Took ages to do the pics as I often tell people posting here that their pics are no good so I have to get mine fairly clear.

Any Samsung I've seen so far that had "MP" in the model number was a monitor/TV combo, sometimes with the TV tuner being optional (151MP/171MP)

MP = Multi Purpose (Monitor + TV) !?

@selldoor: The third pic in post #3 has the tuner box on the mainboard at the right, so it is actually a monitor/TV combo. Haven't seen those with SCART inputs yet though. Most of the MP's only had composite and S-Video.

edit: I actually have a semi-dead 171MP, but I guess the "button" board (and it's resistors + IC) would be of no use as it has touch sensitive metal posts rather than normal buttons, so the entire PCB is probably completely different and incompatible.

Mine is a combo monitor/tv too... sorry I've been inaccurate describing it.

The function pcb should hosts a ir-receiver too for the remote, but it's the last of my problem actually

Let me take a better look at your pics... it's only a pcb with resitors, switches and a ir-receiver, isn't it?

Hi - yes resistors switches ir and a led (OL) - I will leave it in bits for a day or two in case you need to know anything else.
@Scenic -Didnt spot that hahaha - wasnt looking too closely- I did wonder though
and even googled the model number and it came up as monitor so as OP said monitor I just accepted it.

Great pics! I can't only read the IR1 number

I drawed the schematic and found the 711mp schematics, it uses 3 different lines (KEY1, KEY2 and KEY3) for the nine buttons... the 910mp instead only has 2 key lines KEY_AD1 and KEY_AD2 I only made few tests but it doesn't seem to work

I think it could uses a different approach but I don't know which one
Any idea/suggestion is appreciate

Thanks to your info and to my father's patience who has empirically discovered the resistors values I've finally build a working function PCB for my Samsung SyncMaster 910MP

I am having problems as above, but this is for samsung lcd monitor 743nx type. the original is a touch button in order:
power, auto adjust, enter, move up, move down menus.

I intend to replace the touch button to switch button for touch button can no longer be used because of a fluid leak lcd (now my lcd panel is replaced with a new one)

there are 4 pins that go into the old touch button: 3.3 v, key 1, key 2, led, gnd.
please help if you have a schematic diagram for my guide makes use swich button Function Panel

while I am trying to create a function panel following the schematic diagram for the type 910mp as above.

This is a sequence of buttons samsung 743nx, is using the touch button, I want to replace it with a switch button.
