You can try changing over the leads from the panel so the bottom ones are
plugged in where the top ones were and the top where bottom were, and see if that works.
Next unplug one lead from the non-working panel and plug in a lead from the working panel so you can find out which bulb is not working.-

    For more help look here:

Scroll down page and try and find your panel - if its not there just watch a few
    you will get the idea.
If/when you take it apart first look for wiring defects- sometimes they just
rot away sometimes they arc to the frame. If in doubt take pics and post them for advice.
cccfls are VERY brittle/fragile - used ones more than new so you need
lots of space and time or you will end up with them all broken - it is not easy.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Does anyone know if the quality of the picture of this monitor justifies its repair? I just came across the AL1914 with the PSU pictured in this thread, but I'm torn between scrapping it or repairing it, especially since I went through all the trouble of re-capping an old Viewsonic VA1912wb, only to find out how lousy the picture on the Chi Mei panel was.
"We have offered them (the Arabs) a sensible way for so many years. But no, they wanted to fight. Fine! We gave them technology, the latest, the kind even Vietnam didn't have. They had double superiority in tanks and aircraft, triple in artillery, and in air defense and anti-tank weapons they had absolute supremacy. And what? Once again they were beaten. Once again they scrammed [sic]. Once again they screamed for us to come save them. Sadat woke me up in the middle of the night twice over the phone, 'Save me!' He demanded to send Soviet troops, and immediately! No! We are not going to fight for them."

It's going to be average, to slightly above average. On the older models, I found the Dell Ultrasharps to be way above average. But, we still fix average quality monitors; because a lot of people we sell them cheap to, don't really care.
