    Acer al2216w has 1 bright vertical line

    Hello, This lcd works fine except for 1 bright thin vertical line on the right hand side, about 3" in from the side.

    It runs from top to bottom, and has some color to it.

    I tried some preasure tests to the ribbon at the top while it was turned on, but this didn't have any effect at all.

    The location of the line is not directly below any of the tape bond connections, but in between two of the bonds.

    I suppose this rules out delamintation of the tape.
    Would a live pixel exerciser program work on this? or should I give up and put up with the thin line?

      It's a bond problem or one output of a driver is dead. Either get a new panel, a new monitor, or live with it.

          Hi all, I tried searching the site for answers but I'm a bit over my head understanding some of what might apply and what doesn't, so please be patient with me. I used Freakaftr8's fix to remove the left driver board to restore picture to a black screen with sound Vizio E701i-A3.           Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line

          Hi all.

          I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
          The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

          The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

          Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.


          Hoping to fix...
