best brand on a budget

I got the green light on a new monitor (still CRT here). Looking for the best 19" I can get under $100.00 with shipping. Looking at Tigerdirect I see I-INC, Acer, ASUS, Samsung, eMachines, Lanova, and Viewsonic. Quality and repairability are important. I mostly web surf and play HALO/COD. Im looking at the Acer G185HAb 19". It has 56 good reviews on Tiger. I don't expect to get to get top notch stuff for my price but Id like best bang for the buck.

Basicly Im looking for your recent experience with brands in this category.

I quite like samsung. All of my monitors, except for my Benq workbench monitor, are samsung. I've had 1 get bad caps, but it was easy to disassemble and repair.

I went ahead and got an HP Compaq LE1711 17" off ebay for $50.00 with free shipping. Specs look pretty good I guess (like I would know).

Its brand new in the box and goes for about $160.00 depending on where u get it.

I wish I would have seen this earlier. I've got 2 used 19" monitors that I have refurbed for sale. I would have sold you one of them for $60 plus shipping.
