I have a Gateway FPD1975w and one day it just shut down without any indication of problems.when I took it apart I noticed that it has the power supply from a FPD1976w. None of the cap's look bad and there is no bad spots anywere on the boards.It just wont power up not even the lite on the power button works..And yes I know Gateway SUCKS......Thanks for the help everyone..

I repaired a similar model Gateway it had bloated Samxon GF caps in it. I believe it was one of my first posts.Elements of the past and the future combining to make something not quite as good as either.Comment

Greetings everyone,
I have a Gateway P5WS0/NV57H58u laptop (P5WEO LA-6901P REV:2.0). The client said the battery was not charging. Upon checking the laptop,
1) On pressing the power button, the (power button) light turns on and stays on.
2) There is no boot, or anything on the screen.
3) The fan starts and stops a few times, then it stops completely.
4) The light on the power button remains on.
5) Battery not charging (original issue).
The original problem was that the battery was not charging, but the laptop still worked. My belief... -
Hello everyone, I have a laptop Gateway GWTN156-12BL, (XA133P rev 2.0) There was a crashed BIOS, I was able to find one for the GWTN156-12BK, and it rebooted. Can anyone share a BIOS dump for this model?
