    IISonic IIEM989 weird problem

I just picked this one up today. Monitor will not work unless one of the buttons (anything except Power) is kept pressed. No obvious bad caps in the power supply or on the logic board (although they're all Lelons), voltages are all in check, inverter ok, lamps ok.

I'm suspecting a bad EEPROM but i don't have a programmer for those... and even if i did i don't have a dump to write to it. Any ideas before i order a new logic board? I found one here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/55-L21V2-0...item5889130fd7

It pays off to triple check... I checked all wires that go to the keypad and on the 4 buttons i got 3.3v when they are not pressed, only on the power button i had 0.3v... So i disconnected the keypad and the power button line also went to 3.3v. Momentarily shorted it to ground - the monitor came on and STAYED on.

Looks like i just have a bad power button. I have a few handy, gonna replace it and let you know how it went.

Fixed, albeit in a different way. The power button exhibited no appreciable leakage when measured with a multimeter set on resistance, so i used a 1k resistor from the 3.3v rail to make a better pullup. Works fine.

The voltage does however fluctuate from 3.2v to 2.5v on the button so there is a bit of leakage there (while the 3.3v rail is rock solid), but that's not a problem - anything between 2.0v and 3.3v is "high" in TTL logic.

Nitro rx580 very weird problem, VCORE and EN
        by chaos-theory
        Hello!
I have this very weird problem, I got this rx580 nitro saphire and the fans don't even spin but the saphire logo is lit.
All voltage rails are present except for VCORE at the coils, then I started checking NCP81022 and it has voltage but vdd pwrgd is missing, enable EN is missing it shows 2.5ohm, everything seems fine, i tried checking the back of the card, to see where the enable pin goes, i dont have a schematic so i started touching randomly until i measured a resistor on the back and the fans started spinning, now I was amazed like what is wrong here? So I thought it's a...

A2229 ipad pro 12.9 4gen strange problem Logic Board related charging but no usb data
        by badboyzzz
I have a strange problem with my iPad Pro 12.9 4Gen / A2229. When I start the device, it stays on the Apple logo, but when I heat the back of the device with a hair dryer, the device boots, but this time there is an interesting problem. The iPad is charging, but there is no USB data on the computer. The USB charging port has been changed and the chips seem normal, but I have given it to 2 different Apple services in Latvia, but the repair could not be done. Is there anyone who can help with this? Can someone support the repair by sending only the motherboard within Europe? Thank you.

The laptop was working fine, the only problem was that when I turned it on, the screen was hard to turn on, it would wait for about 30-40 seconds before an image appeared on the screen.
Initially, I updated from windows to Intel Management Engine 11.8 Firmware, restarted, everything was fine.
Then I updated the bios, also from windows, to the last vs, vs 46. It restarted, those lines with bios update progress appeared, restarted and that's it, since then...

        Samsung UE32J5373AS Weird LED Problem
        by sorrowfulfloyd
Hi all, first time seeing a LED problem this weird so I wanted to discuss with y'all before handing back this TV to my costumer.

This TV came to my shop with no picture but sound present. So I thought ok this must be a LED problem and I shine a light with my phone's torch amd and yup I see the image. So I disassemble it and before changing the LEDs I check the motherboard voltages (this unit works with an external 16V DC brick) and I see 54 volts at the input pin of LED strip, considering this TV has 2 strips of 7 LEDs which at 3~ volts it must be equal to like 42 volts. I remove...

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
        by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
        1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
        2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
        3. Problem: TV shuts down
